For a few weeks we report about that Samsung want to introduce the Galaxy S5 AMOLED with WQHD resolution 2560 × 1440 pixels (about 3.69 million pixels) or 560ppi. Now a korean industry insider told us that Samsung plans to introduce two different models of the Galaxy S5 model. One high end class Samsung says “PREMIUM” model with a 5.1 inch Oled with WQHD resolution and one model with Full HD 1920×1080 Pixel. Both displays will have a diamond pixel matrix structure. It seems Samsung Display has problems with the WQHD picture quality. And there are still some problems to mass produce the WQHD AMOLED Displays. If the rumor is not correct, we know for sure that Samsung Display can not produce so many 2560×1440 Pixels panels for the S5. Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy S5 in March with the Full HD Display and a few month later the S5 premium with the QHD AMOLED Display. We know that Samsung Display has some problems to produce so many QHD panels, so we think this is not a rumor, we will see two models of S5 with different displays. Samsung is under pressure to introduce the S5 in to the market so this strategy make sense, like Apple with the Premium Iphone 5s and the standard Iphone 5c.
